Summary

Blizzard’s online gaming service Battle.net debuted in 1996, a full seven years before Steam sprang to life. Nothing changed, and Battle.net technology continue to serve as the central nervous system for Blizzard games, but it is referred to as Blizzard tech instead, as is the case with Blizzard Streaming and Blizzard Voice.
