  • On this Day September 15, 2009 – Bleach: The 3rd Phantom was released for the Nintendo DS in North America. However, this also released in Japan, Australia and Europe on June 26, 2008, February 11, 2010 and February 12, 2010 respectively.

Description: A turn-based tactic game where two teams fight each other’s on an isometrically viewed battlefield in a style similar to the Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem games. When a character attacks an opponent, the screen switches to a side view, similar to the Bleach DS fighting games. If two teammates are near the same opponent, they can perform a tag team move more powerful than the basic ones which may make it easier to kill an enemy. This game also allows you to use kido and other special moves (e.g. Getsuga Tensho, Senkei and Tsugi no mai Hakuren). Once the player has won the battle, his characters will earn experience points which will increase their stats and unlock new abilities.

Description: While controlling Flint through Swallow Falls (Chewandswallow) you must use six different gadgets to help him proceed through levels. The game has five acts. In the first act each level only allows Flint to use one gadget. Act two allows Flint to switch between two, and act three and up allows Flint to use three in a level. In each level there are 30 Hydronic Foodpods. These have to be disposed with using certain gadgets.

Description: A 2D platforming game, and one that’s fairly similar to Drawn to Life. At the beginning of the game, the player draws a hero with the DS touchscreen to play as for the rest of the game. Throughout the game, the player is assigned to draw a variety of platforms and other objects that are required to beat the level, which are indicated when the player finds a blank easel within the level, or are sometimes assigned right away. The custom hero has basic maneuverability compared to most games, he/she is given the ability to jump, ground pound, and attack or “karate chop,” similarly seen in the show. These moves are used to do things like break crates, push buttons, and attack enemies.
